Parking, Fees & Beach Permits
Red Reef charges by the car, not the person: $40 on weekdays and $55 on weekends and holidays for visitors without a Boca Raton beach permit. Since October 1, 2026, the gatehouse takes cards and phone payments only.
What's here
- 230 parking spaces, including 12 accessible spaces.
- Free EV charging for all users.
- Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay payment at the gatehouse.
- Metered parking across A1A.
Good to know
The daily fee covers cars, motorcycles and minivans; larger vehicles pay more. Rates can change, so check myboca.us before you go.
Daily rates
Without a beach permit, a car, motorcycle or minivan pays $40 on weekdays and $55 on weekends and holidays. The fee covers everyone in the vehicle, so carpooling makes Red Reef much cheaper per person. Since October 1, 2026, the gatehouses at Boca Raton's beach parks no longer accept cash: bring a debit or credit card, or pay with Apple Pay or Google Pay.
Annual beach permits
Residents of Boca Raton and the Greater Boca Raton Beach and Park District can buy an annual beach permit, $90 for the October 2026 to September 2027 year, which covers entry to Red Reef, Spanish River and South Beach parks. The permit is a windshield sticker.
Ways to save
Metered parking across A1A is an alternative to the gate fee for short visits; listings have shown about $3 an hour with a four-hour limit. And because the daily fee is per car, a full car is the best deal.
Accessibility and EVs
The lot has 12 designated accessible spaces, and EV charging is free for everyone. The accessible boardwalk leads to an ocean view.
